Venchi
Silvano Venchi opened his first laboratory in Piemont in 1878, introducing for the first time the chocolate in its purest form.
Nougatines, Cuneesi, Cuor di Cacao, Marron Glacé in pieces and spread creams: all these finest products find their origins in the meeting between Silvano Venchi and another cuneese master, Piero Cussino, who in 1949 founded his own company, the “CUBA” (Cussino, Biscotti e Affini), and was already well appreciated thanks to his chocolate cigars. At the beginning of 2000 the two brands merged their passion together, in order to create the “CUBA VENCHI” and starting from 2003 the brand has been renamed simply “Venchi”
Today Venchi has a range of more than 350 specialities, not least the Sugar free line: a chocolate sweetened with maltitol which has given the company the leadership in the Italian market. All products, excluding the ones of the cereal line and the ones with caramelised waffle, are completely gluten free, so suitable for people suffering from celiac disease.
Venchi’s strongest points are the unique recipes and the extraordinary raw materials, which are not altered by chemical processes or preservatives.
Among the novelties, a special is the raffinate “Chocaviar”: a caviar made of chocolate coming from a special blend of beans from South America.
