Capitano Rosso

An all-consuming passion for chocolate. This is the distinctive characteristic of Gianfranco Rosso’s work. Captain of ocean liners for several years, when he returned to the mainland, he opened La Cioccolateria del Capitano Rosso.

The Captain loves playing with chocolate, inventing, with his own special blend of whim and creativity. During the 1990’s, this appetizing mixture resulted in Ciao Turin, a chocolate that has since become a classic.

At the Captain’s you can certainly find traditional Gianduiotti and fruit, spice, and "energizing" varieties of bars.

The confectioner’s renews the Turinese tradition of the chocolate Easter Egg, embellishing it with unique decorations. The Captain’s creativity is expressed in the gourmet chocolate concoctions: from spaghetti to cheese, from chicken to fritto misto.
Inside the shop, beginning in the month of October, courses are held to learn about chocolate and how to process it.
