Barbero

Marco Barbero, inventor of the Baci di Cherasco, or “Cherasco Kisses” , founded this elegant confectioners in Liberty style in 1881. After more than 120 years of business, the Confetteria Barbero is one of the temples of taste in Piedmont.

In addition to the traditional Baci, here you can tickle your tastebuds with many other specialities: From white and dark truffles to cascè alla grappa, from chocolate snails, filled with hazelnut paste, honey, and sugar, to the Peccati del Cardinale (The Cardinal’s Sins), dark chocolate fill with Cointreau and an effigy of Cardinal Mazzarino stamped on the top.

The Confetteria Barbero has recently reinterpreted a classic element of Piedmontese cuisine by covering it with chocolate: breadsticks.
